글로벌 컴퓨팅 전문 기업 ASUS의 한국 지사인 에이수스 코리아(지사장: 강인석, 이하 ‘에이수스’)는 프리미엄 히트싱크와 듀얼 녹투아 NF-A12x25 PWM 팬을 결합한 고성능 그래픽카드인 ASUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 녹투아 에디션을 출시한다고 밝혔다.

새로운 ASUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 녹투아 에디션은 에이수스 써멀 R&D 팀이 녹투아 엔지니어들과 협력해 개발한 2.2 슬롯 히트싱크를 탑재했으며, 6개의 히트파이프와 GPU 다이 및 메모리를 위한 대형 히트 스프레더를 갖춰 4.3 슬롯의 두께를 제공한다. 에이수스와 녹투아 엔지니어는 광범위한 시뮬레이션을 통해 두 개의 녹투아 NF-A12x25 팬에서 발생하는 공기를 최대한 활용하기 위한 최적화된 히트싱크를 설계했다.

ASUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 녹투아 에디션에 적용된 NF-A12x25 팬의 블레이드는 가장자리 주변의 기류 누출을 줄이는 녹투아의 스테록스(Sterrox®) 액정 폴리머로 만든 임펠러 덕분에 외부 프레임에서 단 0.5mm 간격만을 가진다. 스무스 커뮤테이션 드라이브(Smooth Commutation Drive) 기술이 적용된 녹투아의 맞춤형 PWM IC도 음향 효율을 개선하는 데 효과가 있으며, 각 블레이드 팁의 플로우 엑셀레이션 채널(Flow Acceleration Channel)과 팬 프레임의 내부 표면 미세구조와 함께 팬 모서리에는 진동을 방지하는 패드가 있어 히트싱크나 슈라우드에서 발생하는 소음을 줄여준다. 에이수스는 기존 GeForce RTX™ 3070 녹투아 에디션과 동일한 맞춤형 갈색 슈라우드를 사용해 시스템 내부에 다른 녹투아 제품군과의 통일된 미학을 제공한다.

ASUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 녹투아 에디션은 녹투아의 디자인을 담았으면서 에이수스만의 최고 수준의 다양한 기능도 탑재했다. 듀얼 BIOS 스위치를 통해 사용자는 최대 성능과 저소음 최적화 설정을 선택할 수 있으며, 녹투아 에디션은 저소음 최적화 설정이 기본값으로 설정됐다. 유휴 상태이거나 가벼운 부하 상태일 때는 조용한 작동을 위해 0dB 모드로 전환되며, 통풍구가 있는 백플레이트를 통해 공기 흐름을 최적화할 수 있다. 에이수스만의 전자동화(Auto-Extreme) 기술과 144시간의 검증 프로그램으로 신뢰성과 품질을 보장한다.
