글로벌사이버대학교(총장 이승헌) 평생교육원이 영어그림책 및 아동발달, 심리에 대한 전문지식과 교수법에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 어린이 학습현장과 가정에서 누구나 영어그림책 읽기를 지도할 수 있는 민간자격취득과정인 영어그림책지도사 과정 수강생을 모집한다고 15일 밝혔다.

교수진은 글로벌사이버대학교 외래교수인 조이스 박과 제이포럼 출판 대표인 전은주(꽃님에미) 강사이며 영어 그림책을 통해 영어와 콘텐츠를 아우르는 전문가로 성장하고자 하는 모든 이들에게 열린 과정이다. 영어그림책은 특히 영어와 스토리, 이미지라는 세 마리 토끼를 한 번에 잡을 수 있어 주목받는 교육법 중 하나다.

영어그림책지도사 과정은 실시간 줌(ZOOM) 수업으로 진행되며, 기본과정 10주와 고급과정 10주로 구성됐다. 기본과정에서는 그림책의 구성, 역사 및 경향에 대해 익히면서 동시에 엄마표 영어 지도법, 낭독 지도법에 대해 학습하고, 고급과정에서는 작가 및 주제별 접근을 통해 주요 작가의 작품 세계를 이해하면서 그림책과 세상을 연결시키고 확장하며 해석하는 방법에 대해 배우게 된다.

이 과정은 2021년부터 1기, 2기 수강생 총 131명이 참여했고, 2022년 3기 기본과정(5월 19일 오전반 개강), 3기 고급과정(8월 18일 오전반 개강), 4기(7월 12일 저녁반 개강), 4기 고급과정(10월 11일 저녁반 개강)이 예정됐다.

글로벌사이버대학교 평생교육원에서는 영어그림책지도사 과정 외에도 온라인+실시간 줌(ZOOM) 강의로 ‘영어 동시와 엄마표 어린이 영어’와 ‘그림책으로 배우는 삶과 죽음’ 과정을 모집하고 있다.
