국가 간 우의 증진과 청소년의 글로벌 역량 강화를 위해 충청북도가 주최하고 충청북도청소년종합진흥원이 주관하는 ‘2022년 충청북도 청소년 국제교류’ 사업 참가자 모집이 시작됐다.
이번 사업은 미국 청소년 9명과 충청북도 청소년 9명을 대상으로 7월 22일부터 25일까지 3박 4일간 운영된다.
참가 청소년들은 청남대, 국립현대미술관, 유네스코국제무예센터 등 도내 문화관광지를 방문하고 충청북도청소년페스티벌과 청소년 수련시설에서 다양한 체험 활동을 즐길 예정이다.
충청북도에 거주 혹은 도내 교육기관에 소속된 만 15세~19세(중3~대1) 청소년이면 신청할 수 있으며, 서류심사와 면접심사를 거쳐 최종 참가 청소년을 선발한다. 참가 희망자는 6월 26일까지 충청북도청소년활동진흥센터 홈페이지 공고를 참조해 신청할 수 있다.
충청북도청소년종합진흥원 신찬인 원장은 “이번 청소년 국제교류를 통해 양국 청소년이 서로의 문화를 이해하고 우정을 쌓는 기회가 될 것으로 기대된다. 청소년과 도민 여러분의 많은 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 밝혔다.

충청북도청소년활동진흥센터는 청소년활동진흥법 제7조(지방청소년활동진흥센터의 설치 등)에 따라 설치·운영되고 있으며, 충북 지역 청소년 활동을 진흥해 청소년의 잠재 역량 계발과 인격 형성을 도모하고자 수련·참여·교류·권리 증진 활동 등 청소년 정책을 종합적으로 지원하는 기관이다.
