음성 기반 인공지능(AI) 전문 기업 미디어젠은 과학기술정보통신부, 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA)이 시행하는 ‘2022년 AI 바우처 지원 사업’에 우수 공급기업으로 선정됐다고 22일 밝혔다.

AI 바우처 지원 사업은 AI 제품과 서비스가 필요한 ‘수요기업’과 AI 솔루션을 제공하는 ‘공급기업’을 연결해 주는 사업이다. 2022년 약 350개 과제가 선정됐으며, 이 가운데 약 30개 과제가 ‘우수’로 마무리됐다.

미디어젠은 2021년 ‘AI 감성 보이스 봇(Voice Bot) 기반의 비대면 고령 친화 돌봄 서비스 개발’ 우수 공급기업으로 선정된 데 이어, 2022년 글로벌 영어 학습 에듀테크 기업 아이포트폴리오와 함께한 ‘초분절음 AI 발음평가 엔진 탑재를 통한 글로벌 영어 학습 서비스 고도화’ 사업도 우수 평가를 받으며 성공적으로 종료했다. 인공지능 학습용 데이터 구축 사업에도 3년 연속 참여해 AI 데이터 구축부터 솔루션 개발·공급까지 AI 기업으로서 탄탄한 기반을 다지고 있으며, 2년 연속 AI 바우처 우수 공급기업으로 선정되며 AI 기술력과 사업성을 인정받고 있다.

수요기업 아이포트폴리오는 디지털 리딩 글로벌 서비스 ORC(Oxford Reading Club) 학습 4단계에 미디어젠의 초분절음 AI 발음 평가 기술을 도입해 학습자가 녹음한 영어 문장을 음절(syllables) 및 음소(phonemes) 단위로 분석한 피드백을 제공한다. 초분절음 AI 발음 평가 솔루션 ‘SpeechPro(스피치프로) V2’는 리듬, 억양 강세 등에 대한 상세한 피드백으로 영어 발화 학습에서 기존에 경험할 수 없었던 혁신적인 사용자 경험 제공한다.

국내 완성차 기업에 음성 인식 플랫폼을 공급하고 있는 미디어젠은 2019년 본격적으로 AI 시장에 진출해 사업 확장을 꾀하고 있으며, 자체 음성 및 언어 AI 전문 연구소인 남즈(NAMZ) 연구소를 운영하고 있다. 데이터부터 알고리즘까지 모두 자체 기술력을 보유하고 있으며, 이를 기반으로 에듀테크 솔루션인 AI 튜터, AI 컨택센터, AI 키오스크, AI 헬스케어 등 다방면으로 사업을 확장하고 있다.

The Global Alphathon is a quant competition with over 14,000 participants from more than 100 countries who build alphas[1] and compete for cash prizes from a pool of over $100,000, full-time and internship opportunities at WorldQuant and other rewards.

Twenty-eight teams from 19 countries, including Vietnam, China, India, Indonesia, Singapore and more, participated in the Global Alphathon finals, the last of the three stages of the competition. Following completion of the competition, five full-time and six internship offers have been made to high-performing BRAIN users.
